McCain Potatoes
There seems to be a holiday for everything these days, including French Fries. But for some reason, this holiday wasn’t getting the respect it deserved, so we decided to do something about it. We treated National Fry Day like a “real” holiday with all the trappings.
‘Tis the Seasonings.
We kicked it off with the help of Eric Wareheim to draw attention to the holiday…
But it wouldn’t be a holiday without someone’s yard decorated and lit up to the fries, food, carolers, and a visit from our holiday representative—Father Frymas—so we brought all of this and more to the real world for National French Fry day, in the suburbs of Chicago, inviting the local community to come out and celebrate.
With custom designed and fabricated crinkle cut fry fencing, french fry trees, a fry filled tiny train, fry-naments and every other fry-inspired decoration you can think of, our Fry themed world came to life, and we figured—why not have Father Frymas take you on a tour?
The best part is that National French Fry Day finally got some recognition for being a real holiday, even if Father Frymas still isn’t as well known as Santa Claus…
